Scholarship Application:

Red Comet Nonprofit Educational Organization (RCNEO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity as determined by the United States Internal Revenue Service. Therefore, we are required to ask you questions that will determine whether you are eligible to receive charitable assistance under the IRS code. We will rely on your honest answers and we are not liable for false statements made by applicants. We reserve the right to ask for additional information if the IRS requires it at any time.

RCNEO grants scholarships to students who are economically disadvantaged. If your annual household income falls below the median level for the state in which you reside, you will qualify for a partial scholarship. Students who receive partial scholarships will still need to pay $62.50 for their course. If your annual household income level falls at or below 80% of the median income level for the state in which you reside you will qualify for a full scholarship.

The following section of the scholarship application is only for students who have an annual household income level that is above the median level for the state in which they reside. If your income level is above the median level for your state, you must qualify as both an at-risk student in danger of not graduating and as having special circumstances that prevent you from purchasing a course. In addition, you must have your school counselor contact me by phone or e-mail to verify this information for me.
